The ZÜRN Group employs more than 450 people worldwide. The Group consists of our trading company ZÜRN LANDTECHNIK GmbH, which operates in southern Germany, and two manufacturing companies ZÜRN HARVESTING GmbH & Co. KG and GARFORD FARM MACHINERY Ltd., both of which operate in international markets.
We offer various training programmes at all our sites, training and educating around 70 young people in six different professions and five academic programmes. The academic programmes are so-called ‘dual programmes’ which combine university courses and internships to provide students with the specialist skills that are in high demand.

Our story began in 1885 when Johann Zürn opened his blacksmith shop in the village of Westernhausen, shoeing workhorses to support his family.
In 1963, Zürn became an authorized dealer of John Deere-Lanz AG. Today, we operate 16 outlets in the federal states of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria in southern Germany. Our team of about 250 sales engineers, financial consultants and technicians are dedicated to providing our customers with comprehensive advice and the full range of farm machinery services.
We produce state-of-the-art machines and equipment for the agricultural industry. At our production sites in Merchingen, Hohebuch, and Großwechsungen, our team of 160 employees work in manufacturing, R&D, sales, and aftersales services. Our research plot combine factory specializes in creating complex machinery tailored to customer specifications for exclusive field research applications.
Our machines work in fields around the world. We have sales and service branches in the UK, in North America and Brazil. Garford Farm Machinery is headquartered in Peterborough, UK, where we produce leading-edge precision-guided hoes.
Our innovations have won numerous prestigious awards at international shows. Our new ‘Econventional Solutions’ are designed for the sustainable farming of tomorrow.
We operate agricultural machinery dealerships in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. As such, we are one of the largest John Deere dealers in Germany. About 250 colleagues offer our agricultural customers the full range of services for their machines – from sales advice to financing and technical service.
At our manufacturing company ZÜRN HARVESTING, about 160 staff members develop and manufacture combine and forager headers, mechanical weeders and specialized machines for seed breeders. As an expanding family-run company, we market our products to customers all over the world.
Our sister company GARFORD FARM MACHINERY employs 70 staff members who develop and produce camera-guided precision hoes in Peterborough, UK. Garford is a pioneer in mechanical weeding and introduced video image analysis to the industry.
